IT Ops Specialist

– Toronto, Ontario
Employment Type Full-Time
Minimum Experience Experienced

Who We Are

At Receptiviti, we’re redefining the way companies support and grow their organizations. Leveraging our unique language psychology science, NLP and ML/AI technologies, we’re building tools for employers to foster healthy employee cultures, improve team dynamics, identify human capital risks, and much more.

Over the past year, we’ve landed phenomenal clients including some of North America's top financial institutions, entertainment providers, and major league sports teams. We’ve tripled in size, we’re still growing fast, and looking to add an IT Operations Specialist to the team.

Who You Are

This is our first ever, dedicated IT Ops role, so we’re looking for someone pumped about taking a hands-on role in the strategy, ownership, and execution of all IT and Security related projects. Ideally, you have a background in cloud-based environments, software development and agile operations. That, and an unbridled passion for either Privacy and Information Security, OR delivering an exemplary DevOps experience (bonus points for both!)

You excel in a vibrant environment that demands a flexible and fast-paced approach, with minimal supervision. You should be eager to learn new technologies and how they can help solve business challenges, and are passionate about creating, evaluating, and optimizing related processes.

Regardless of your past roles, you pride yourself on accountability, and are keen to partner with team members to deliver a reliable, scalable, and secure IT experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting into the CTO, you will be responsible for:

  • Running our IT, networking and security services, vendors, and infrastructure

  • Fostering a strong security and privacy minded culture through education, training, and establishment of best practices

  • Set new and existing employees up for success by provisioning hardware, software, and IT solutions

  • Support compliance-focused initiatives internally and in partnership with third parties

  • Play a key role keeping the team and product running smoothly, all the while keeping us safe and secure.

The Skill Set

  • Superior IT learning & problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management, motivation, reporting, and interpersonal skills

  • Professional, hands-on experience with networks and systems, and security architecture, including cloud-based technologies

  • Administrative Experience with Windows, Linux, OS X

  • Working knowledge of popular ITSM & compliance frameworks

  • A leadership mentality- while you may not have held a formal manager or lead title, you’re an adept influencer of policy and process development

  • Solid grasp of the fundamentals of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls and networking protocols for troubleshooting.

  • Prior experience with agile SDLC environments and lightweight automation using scripting tools (e.g. Python, Bash.)

Not quite the right fit?

If this role doesn’t quite line up with your experience or objectives, but you would love to be part of this growing team,  please consider sharing your resume with us regardless! Above all else, Receptiviti is a culture of learning- a blend of unique strengths and aptitudes go a long way, and you may have something we’re missing from this description.

At this time, we are not accepting applications via recruitment agencies.
